Chole cooked in exotic spices goes well along with crispy, hot, puffed puris.It turned out very spicy and delicious in taste.Do try out..
- 1 cup oil
- 1 tbsp Ghee
- 1 large bay leaf
- 1/4 tsp whole dhania seeds, white zeera and black zeera
- 1 Onion-chopped
- 3 tbsp Yoghurt
- 2 tbsp Tomato paste
- Salt to taste
- 1tsp Coriander powder
- 1tsp Cumin powder
- 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
- 1tsp Mango powder(Amchur)
- 1tsp Chole Masala Powder
- 2 cans Chick peas
- Kasoori methi
- Coriander leaves-chopped
- Heat the ghee and oil together. Add the dry spices; and let them get fragrant and then add onions and fry them golden.
- Next mix all spices with the yogurt and tomato paste or chopped tomatoes.
- Add the chickpeas and mix by adding a glass of water.Cover and cook on low heat.
- Its up to you, how much consistency you want to leave. Accordingly add more water or let it dry off.
- Garnish with chopped onions and coriander leaves.
