Quick and easy curry Of French Beans With Potato that goes well with chapati and rice.French beans are a great source of carbohydrates and dietary fibers. I cook this just very often as it is simple.
- 1/2 kg French Beans
- 1 Potato
- 1 Onion-finely chopped
- 1 Tomato-finely chopped
- 1 tbsp Ginger and Garlic paste
- 1 tbsp Red chili powder
- 1/4 tbsp Turmeric powder
- 1 tsp Coriander powder
- 1 tsp Cumin powder
- Salt to taste
- Oil
- Coriander leaves-finely chopped
- Mint leaves-finely chopped
- Wash and cut potato and French beans into cubes ,or in a shape you want to cut it.
- In a large non-stick saucepan or pressure cooker add oil at medium heat, add onions and fry till they change color to golden brown.
- Add ginger and garlic paste,fry for 1 minute.And then add chopped tomato, red chili powder,turmeric powder,salt and cook till tomato are soft and mushy.
- Next add the chopped green beans, potato and 1/2 cup of water as per the requirement and cook well.
- Do not cook on a high heat,simmer heat and add the coriander leaves & mint leaves. Cover the pan and leave for 15-20 minutes until the green beans and potato are soft & tender.
- When done add the coriander powder and cumin powder and stir for 5 minutes.
- Remove from the heat and serve with plain rice or chapati.
