Achari Murgh is a spicy and hot Chicken that is cooked in spicy North Indian style.
- Chicken-boneless or with bones
- Onions- 1 chopped
- Ginger and Garlic paste- 2tbsp
- Cumin powder- 1tsp
- Coriander powder- 2tsp
- Red chilli powder- 3tsp
- Salt
- Curd -1tbsp
- Fenugreek seeds- 1/4th tsp
- Mustard seeds-1 tsp
- Curry leaves
- Dry mango powder(amchur)- 1 tsp
- Red chilli flakes - 4-5
- Green chillies- 4-5 (slit)
- Take chicken and marinate it with ginger garlic paste, cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, salt and curd.
- Take fenugreek seeds, mustard seeds,some curry leaves(4-5), dry mango powder and chilli flakes in a grinder. Make a dry paste without water.Add to chicken and leave for one hour.
- Take some oil( 3-4 tbsp) in a pan. Add some dried red chillies, mustard seeds, curry leaves and stir well. When done add onions and saute for 4-5 mins. Add ginger garlic paste (1tsp), coriander cumin powder-(1tsp) and saute’. Drop in 4-5 slit green chillies too.
- Add chicken and fry for 4-5 min.
- Now add little water enough to tenderize chicken and cover the lid.
- Once done, garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
