Butter Mutter Paneer, also known as Paneer Makhni is the vegetarian version of the popular Butter Chicken. This dish can be served at parties and family gatherings.This goes well with naans,parathas and white rice. If you are health conscious person so reduce the intake.

  • Paneer
  • 4tbsp Butter
  • 2tbsp Oil
  • 1tbsp Ginger-garlic paste
  • 1cup crushed tomatoes
  • 1tsp Red chilli powder
  • 1tsp Coriander powder
  • 1tsp Garam Masala
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/2 cup Heavy Whipping cream
  • 1cup Water
  • 1tsp Sugar-optional
  • Cilantro-to garnish
  • Cut paneer to desired shape.
  • Heat a pan and add oil and then butter.Once hot add ginger-garlic paste and saute for 2 minutes.
  • Add in the crushed tomatoes.Add the spices;coriander powder,garam masala,red chilli powder and salt.
  • Mix and cook till oil separates.
  • Add paneer and mix gently.Pour 1cup water and simmer for 5minutes.
  • Lower heat and add cream.Allow it to come to boil.
  • Add sugar and mix well.
  • Garnish with cilantro and serve hot.
